Business portrait of chief executive Steve Groves whose company Partnership who came first in the Sunday Times list of private equity companies with the fastest growing profits. This was shot through a sheet of perspex which Steve had written on. The trick was to get some reflection on the plastic so it looked like glass.
These corporate headshots were commissioned by Commonwealth Bank of Australia. They were required for their website staff profiles and I photographed each person in their boardroom. We had to make sure the headshots were formal but had a relaxed and natural feel to them as well.
Another commission for law firm Shoosmiths LLP. I have worked with them for many years supplying headshots of all their staff for their intranet and for LinkedIn profile photos. These informal style of portrait have recently become quite popular, but when I started shooting them over ten years ago they were seen as rather contemporary headshots for a large national law firm.
Staff headshots for Babcock International Group at their offices in The Blue Finn building in South London. They gave me a large office with plenty of natural daylight to do the headshots and I set my lights up to have the view out the window as a backdrop. In the corner of the room was a large concrete pillar which formed part of the interior/exterior wall. I decided to use this as the background as it gave soft graduated grey tones.
