Different corporate headshot styles.
When we first started taking corporate headshots for clients, the majority were captured on a white background with the person facing the camera and smiling. This has been the standard for most company websites and for LinkedIn profile photos. Now we are starting to see clients wanting a more unique look to their headshots, and we are now supplying a range of different corporate headshot styles.
Office environment corporate headshot.
These are captured at the client’s offices in London. They instantly give the headshot a business vibe and, depending on the office interior, adds a visually interesting background. As with any headshot, make sure the person’s eyes are in sharp focus but also makes sure the office background is out of focus and therefore blurred. If the office background was in focus, it would be too distracting and spoil the headshot. We still use studio lighting on the person as office ambient lighting is often too harsh.
Corporate headshots with Cityscape background.
This style of headshot is popular with our international clients and professionals working in The City of London. Some we capture with the person out and about in London with famous City landmarks behind them. Others we capture a studio headshot and then drop in a Cityscape background in post-production. This has the benefits of studio lighting combined with a sense of office location.
Studio corporate headshots.
Captured at our studio, and here you have the benefits of professional studio lighting and choice of white, grey or dark background. These are popular with clients who prefer to have their headshot taken away from their office.
Reportage corporate headshots.
These are commissioned by clients who really want something a bit different. Captured in offices with the person not looking to camera and either chatting to a work colleague or in a meeting. This shows the person actually working, communicating and being comfortable in their working environment.
